PEIMS Data Review

This service was developed in response to the need for increased PEIMS data accuracy and how that data accuracy relates to the potential for increased revenue opportunities. This accuracy becomes even more important in an environment of lower state funding and increased accountability for schools across the state. This review is intended to help districts get a better understanding of where weaknesses may exist in the accounting attendance procedures, processes and practices.

Personnel Staffing Review

For those districts who may need to lose some weight (staffing) or are on a diet, this crowd favorite was created by one of the most famous school finance chefs in the state. This service will help your district run that extra mile.

Recovery of Funds

If a PEIMS Data Review indicates the possibility of funds from prior years that can be recovered, then our team will assist in helping with the recovery. Recovery of prior year funds will be billed at 15% of the amount recovered not to exceed a certain amount.

Cecil Mardis

Mr. Mardis holds a bachelor degree in business administration from Texas Tech University, majoring in Accounting. Mr. Mardis has 23 years of professional experience including 15 years as a business manager in two school districts, and experience in public accounting and the business sectors. Mr. Mardis has specialized expertise with computer software in the area of data mining, data visualization and analysis. As a previous director for the Region 4 Education Service Center in Houston, Texas, his department developed the comprehensive reference manual for PEIMS called Fast Track to PEIMS.

Dr. Julie Guillory

Dr. Guillory has over 30 years of educational experience. Her wealth of experience includes being a teacher leader, campus administrator (opening a ninth grade center), PEIMS Coordinator, director, executive director and currently the TASBO PEIMS Research Committee Immediate Past Chairperson and a TASBO instructor. As a teacher, she collaborated with Dr. Harry K. Wong and has been published in his book The First Days of School. Dr. Guillory has written articles on attendance and its impact on the district budget for TASSP, NASSP and TASBO. Dr. Guillory provides consultation, auditing and presentation services on attendance, campus processes, data validation, PEIMS, and has done multiple presentations on the local, state, and national level. She currently serves as a consultant and trainer for DRV Educational Solutions.

Fred Rush

Fred has more than 37 years of public education experience, beginning as a teacher, and then moving into school administration as an assistant, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent. He was a superintendent for six years at a district with over 6500 students, and he managed over 1,000 employees. During his service in public education, he has facilitated instructional planning, personnel placement, budget and finance planning, and facility studies, using the site-based approach to obtain information from staff and community leaders. He is a certified school board trainer and has expertise in the areas of facilities, scheduling, teambuilding, facilitating and implementing district/campus improvement. His experience and development skills will provide a unique perspective when conducting a superintendent search.

Guylene Robertson

Dr. Robertson is an educational administrator with more than 33 years of public education experience as a teacher, campus administrator, central office administrator, and school district superintendent. She also has been a presenter at local, state, and national education conferences. When she worked at a regional education service center she assisted school districts' leadership successfully reengineer and restructure for state accountability. While teaching she was selected as a Christa McAuliffe Teaching Excellence Award honoree at the state level. An accomplished grant writer she has been successful securing needed funds for all districts. She has experience in all different size districts ranging from a district with 250 students to a district with 48,000+ students. During her service in public education, she has facilitated instructional planning, personnel placement, budget and finance planning, and facility studies, using the site-based approach to obtain information from staff and community leaders. She has expertise in the areas of instructional leadership, program evaluation, curriculum, facilities, team building, facilitating and implementing district/campus improvement. Guylene’s leadership, experience and development skills provide a unique perspective when working with all levels of administrators and educational staff.

Rhonda Harvey

Mrs. Harvey is currently employed by Jasper ISD as the PEIMS and TREx Coordinator. During her 21 years of service in public education, she has gained valuable PEIMS experience from the campus level, and as PEIMS Coordinator at the district and ESC level. Her hands-on experience and knowledge make her a valuable asset to the Data Analysis Review team with DRV Educational Solutions.

Levi Mardis

Levi oversees all Real Time Agent support and product development. Levi has expertise in various Apple hardware and software products and implementations.

Tanner Mardis

Tanner Is in charge of both the marketing and design of DRV print and digital media. Implementing his love for typography, fantastic design, and clean HTML & CSS. He combines it all to add the razzle-dazzle to DRV's marketing and website.
